I've been looking at prices every single day for over a month now hoping to get a deal. This is a VERY good deal.

Usually when it's on sale at this price it's either for military or it's a refurb. You could wait till later but the odds are slim you'll see it at this price again any time soon.

Basically the headphones by which all other noise cancelling headphones are compared against. These are amazing quality and performance for the price. Highly recommended!

Or you can hedge your bets and buy now, you have until January to return if a better deal comes along. But I highly doubt 70% off.

I just got this deal to compare to the QC45 and I am so torn. Both sound good but not OMG amazing. ANC seems good on both. Sony sounds "closer" but also sometimes a tiny bit muddier (but not horribly so). Sony has more customization in its app to tweak the sound. Bose is slightly lighter and more comfortable. I've only just got the Sony so I need to give it more time.

For noise cancelation these can't be beat. Trying them both on side-by-side, the canceling is so much better.
For sound, I dunno. Not a fan of wireless.

I'm hoping I don't get hinge problem like those Amazon reviews I read. I don't see those big youtube or website reviewers address this. I assume Sony wanted to address this with 1000xm5's design, and reading Sony is iffy honoring the warranty for the hinge problem. Wish me luck

I'm tempted to buy the Bose from Costco also just to compare the two side by side. I figure I have a little over two months to decide which one to keep.

OTOH, I already have a pair of cheap Sony ANC from ~7 years ago that I don't even use very often.

Anyone use these on a bus? I commute on a bus and with NC on, there's a nasty booming/popping sound each time the bus hit bumpy roads. Is this the norm???

If you guys can test this for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Try being a passenger in a car going over bumpy roads with noise cancelation on. Do you hear any booming/popping noise? It's almost like a pop from pressure or something. It's very very very uncomfortable when it booms/pops.
