Adorama [adorama.com] has Capture One One Pro 22, Key Card for $179, normally $299. This is pro-level photo cataloging/editing software on par with Adobe Lightroom, but can be bought without a subscription.
Note that the
new Capture One Pro 23 will be released on November 8 [photorumors.com] but you can buy last year's version for 40% off.
This is a one-time fee for a lifetime license, though you don't get annual upgrades.
Note that there was a
similar deal last April, so perhaps if you wait ~6 mos you can get v23 for this price.

A lot of pros are getting increasingly frustrated with it.
I am hoping 23 will be improved, but it seems like they put the entire engineering team into the tablet releases and stopped caring about the desktop releases.
The last update caused a crash every single time you closed the program. They obviously stopped testing thoroughly as a small group of people all have the same issues and complain about them within days of a new release lol

Capture One Pro (latest version) typically goes on sale around Black Friday for the best price of the year via resellers. They also tend to run (direct) specials for upgrades via email campaigns in the spring time and sometimes mid-year.
Last ~Black Friday / Cyber Monday (2021), both Adorama and B&H had Capture One Pro 21 on sale for $179.00 in a bundle that included a $25 gift card (at times) and was eligible for a free upgrade to v22 when released. This was for a new (non-subscription) license for the All Camera version which is normally $299 MSRP.
I believe the gift card was first offered by B&H and may have been matched by Adorama. Also both updated the details on their listings multiple times over BF / CM weekend.... I.e. GC / No GC, language about the free v22 upgrade, etc.
The Capture One Pro 21 for Sony / Nikon / Fuji brand locked versions were also on sale at B&H for $139 for a new license (normally $199). However the brand specific versions were discontinued in 2022, so your upgrade path (if eligible) is to move to the more expensive multi brand version or a subscription. (Note - Capture One Pro 22 for Nikon still appears to be available for purchase, but is likely to go away per their announcement.)

Capture One also tends to run (direct) pre-release specials starting a month or two before a major version release. However, these deals are not typically much if any lower than (reseller) BF/CM sale for a new full license.
The also tend to run post-release upgrade sales starting ~3 - 6 months after major version release. It looks like they ran a (~$99 direct) sale for the multi brand version from Aug 16 - 30 2022 @50% off the normal $199 upgrade price. I missed that sale and might have upgraded from v21 at that price.... or I might have waited until BF for options to move from v21 to 23.

My only gripe with CaptureOne is that the photo-review process sucks - where Lightroom shines. After taking photos of people, you have to quickly show them the photos so they can select 2-3 to keep. Last photoshoot, my target was go through 3 people every 10 minutes (each person gets 3 minutes - includes taking their photos and then having them selec1-2 photos to keep). The only way to make this "3 minute" target happen was using a home-brew App that I built (using VBA code) - the App determines which photos were recently taken, an display all of them side-by-side into a neat little gallery so they can compare all of them at once at a glance.

It doesn't crash often when using. It does have an issue where sometimes it'll boot and lose your DB and you just have to point t back to the DB file. It's annoying but not devastating.
Layers are janky and it's no sub for photoshop or affinity.

Over the last couple of years they have gone up on price for the perpetual licensed products. They also stopped selling the lower price Sony/Nikon/Fuji manufacturer specific full featured versions.
This appears to be part of a push to move people to a subscription plan... but Adobe's Creative Cloud $10 / month option tends to be a better value given it includes Photoshop, Photoshop for iPad, Lightroom classic, Lightroom mobile, other tools, and a minimal amount (20gb) of cloud storage.
I'm still going to hold out for a 179 (or lower) plus 25g/c deal... but honestly this product should be less expensive for the occasional / casual user given what adobe offers.
