I read the title way too fast and thought it was a "Kylie Minogue voice synthesizer."

6 years since this came out and its still one of the best synths on the market!! All the parameters work so well together and make it feel like a real instrument... nothing else sounds/looks like it.

For real. This thing is so versatile. I've only been able to mess around with it on my friend's that they got when it released. This price is so tempting.

It's a good price but it's not the XD and the Minifreak might be where my next spend goes instead.. certainly compared to other two osc synths.

Great synth. I have the Minilogue XD but a couple of my friends have the Minilogue. Totally worth the price for a 4 voice analog.

Good analog synth for the price. You'll need a separate effects device to get basic effects though the minilogue does come with a delay effect. It also has an issue where the bass gets weak when turning up the resonance. Other than that, it's a good entry level analog synth with good features and sound.

The XD version is better, but doesn't have a full filter adsr envelope while the original minilogue does.

I'm personally holding out and saving up for a Sequential Take 5.

I got curious; the Sequential Take 5 is $1499 at Sweetwater. Sounds like a whole difference caliber of synth.

Q: People have said that the XD is better; without doing my homework, I'm wondering, better how?

"In addition to emphasizing the same real analog sound and joy of controlling an electronic musical instrument offered by the original minilogue, the minilogue xd newly adds a digital multi-engine, effects, a powered-up sequencer, and micro tuning functionality, further expanding the possibilities for sound design and performance potential."

Yeah, it's in a different price range. I thought about the minilogues, but I feel that saving up for the Take 5 will give me a way better analog synth experience with more versatility, 5 voices, 44 keys that are bigger and better feeling, full envelope adsr, and maybe some others. I'm mainly looking for one analog synth, and the Take 5 has almost everything, though I wish it had 8 voices and at least a 49 key keybed if not 61 keys.

XD is better in almost every way except it doesn't have a full filter envelope and only has 1 filter type compared to the original minilogue which has a full envelope adsr and 12/24db filter types.

Anyone have any thoughts on this original Minilogue vs. the Behringer Deepmind 6 ?

They're very different synths. Deep mind is probably going to be more versatile but the Korg is going to likely be better quality - it's considered a classic.

You really can't go wrong with either one. I don't have the deep mind but I know people love it. But if you do go that route, you might as well get the deep mind 12

One synth is never enough.

I have the Deepmind 12 and used to have the Korg Monologue. Only reason I sold the Monologue is because I wished it had more than 25 keys. Very different synth's because the Deepmind, when Behringer built it, was to have it be the jack-of-all-trades, master of none.
