The GOOD: plenty of power, decent sized cord, lift-away feature and most importantly a self-cleaning brushroll for a family with long haired folks. The self-cleaning brushroll really does work. I have this on a cordless Shark too and I have never had a clog with multiple long hairs around the house.
The BAD: The vac is very basic. No button to turn off the brushroll but it does have a second setting for bare floors on the power switch that disconnects the power to the brushroll. I didn't mind the limited functionality because this is strictly to vac carpets in a house with a 65/35 mix of carpet and hardwoods. The unit only has two attachments: crevice tool w/o dusting tip & ~7" wide furniture head for general pickup with the wand. The hose is very short. The power cable feeds to the bottom of the unit. I much prefer vacuums that have the cord in the handle to keep it out of the way while vacuuming.
If I used this for multiple surfaces or as my only vac, I would probably opt for one with more features, but as a carpet only vac it is a horse. Grabbed tons of dust, pet hair missed by my old vacuum. Totally satisfied and a little surprised by the strength at a $100 price tag.

On the whole it seemed more easily navigated than Shark CU500 also bought from Walmart.
It moved more easily over carpet than the prior model (Shark CU500 purchased 7/21 and really like! and still going strong) and I like the shut-off brush switch so I could easily do bare floors such as tile. The CU500 doesn't have a shut-off brush switch.
I got this one to have on a separate floor so I wouldn't have to lug the CU500 upstairs.
I like the fact that both have self cleaning brushes - which really work! and cheap easy to clean HEPA filters.
I know it's too early to really evaluate this model but so far
