Had to look up the price on one at HD, good price on this one. I had mine for years... I'm thinking I only paid like $199 or $250 for mine when I got it from HD but like I said... had it forever (guessing over 10 years)

Saw a recent video saying there's a new model being released soon. The criticisms of this one were that it's low power and it's tough to get the table prefecture square. It's also pretty damn huge for what it is and does take up a good amount of space. I have found mine useful, though I wouldn't mind a better motor.

As I understand, this product is automatically has 3 years limited warranty. However, If you want to register for Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) you have to do that with 90 days of purchase.

Just a PSA on the LSA for DTO purchases: iirc you will need to mail the physical invoice you get in the box to get the LSA. It's more effort than when buying from HD.

One thing to note is that the new model (R4840) is part of their "NEXT" lineup
So it's manufactured by Delta for Ridgid

Because of this, it won't carry the LSA, but will instead have a 5 year warranty.
