Two previous threads have a lot of good info. Search Mint for the posts.
Summary:
The phone is UNLOCKED (I bought it and activated with my existing plan).
The plan is NOT tied to the phone or your name. You can use it for other family member (I did) or sell it.
You must activate the plan in 45 days after purchase.
If don't port in a number, you only get 6 months service.
One person reported switching to Fi from Mint and immediately port it back and getting 12 months.
Some people say you can port in Google Voice number by paying $3 to Google.
You CANNOT cancel the plan only and keep the phone (some tried but was told to cancel the whole purchase or none).
Some people have AMEX offer of $45 off $90 (I used it and got confirmation email from Amex immediately).
You may find referral code to get $15 (I did not use it).
You can use Cash Back site to get some extra dollars back. Ex. urlhasbeenblocked $5 back (It worked for me).
To find the deal manually, go to https://www.mintmobile.com/, click top menu Phone - Deals.
It's unlocked, many (including myself) have bought this deal and confirmed
Every time this gets posted that it's restocked I get tempted but I really don't want the Pro version. I would much prefer the size of the regular Pixel 7, I've been hoping they would offer a similar deal for the Pixel 7 but it does not appear that will be happening.

128gb and no extendable memory makes this a non starter.

This is smart marketing, it's an intentionally nerfed phone. Most people will realize 128gb is inadequate and end up buying, perhaps the same phone in higher capacity. Secondly, this is so cheap that it brings people into the Google brand.
I don't know that 128 GB is so inadequate. I take a looooot of photos and videos of my dog, have a lot of music downloaded, and it just means every 2 months or so I have to delete my photos and videos. 🤷 They're backed up to Google Photos in high quality (I kept my old Pixel for this) and the photos to Amazon Photos in full quality. I've had this phone since October 21st and am really enjoying it. And if I upgrade it'll be to an 8 Pro next year!

Me, this, yes. I think it's time to put the old PH-1 out to pasture. Really love the size of my Essential. I wish they had a deal on the P7 but it's actually slightly more than the P7P. Come on.
One additional thing I am disappointed about now that I have the pixel pro 7 to replace the PH1 is the quality of the materials used. The back of the pixel pro is plastic, versus the titanium and ceramic chassis of the PH1. Aside from the camera, the only noticeable upgrades are all due to later releases of android. I'm going to attempt to replace the battery in the PH1, and then if that works, try and put an android 12 custom ROM [getdroidtips.com] on it. If I can manage to make it all the way to there, I'm going to consider selling the PP7.

I know they say the plastics used in phone construction are durable. They still feel cheap compared to something like the Essential. I thought the P7P had glass and metal on the back? I thought I read before that replacing the battery in the Essential would be difficult due to the titanium frame? Interested in hearing if you get that far.

For those can handle spectrum (verizon) mobile, they have the spectrum one bundle that's internet 300Mbps and mobile plan for $50 a month for 12 months. They also have the Pixel 7 pro for $500 (I did a trade in and will get another $100 off). They wouldn't give me the bundle since I'm already a customer, but they offered me a free 12 month unlimited mobile plan. So I bought the pixel 7 pro with tax it's $547 hopefully get my $100 trade in and then I save a minimum of $180 a year on phone plan. I almost went with the Mint plan since I used them before and with Tmobile now, but this sweet deal with Verizon is reliable in my area.

After 5 days with the pixel 7 pro, decided to keep it and port over to MINT was nearly effortless and took under 5 minutes from lycamobile.

On mint I get 400mbit down / 7mbit up in first speed test on 5g UC. Very happy with that.

Pixel 7 pro:

+ Great camera
+ GPU is great, speeds in games, smooth UI, etc
+ Voice to text and translation is really really fast
+ No bugs found as of yet

- Speakers are unbalanced, apparently by design to optimize audio when holding the phone vertically vs horizontally
- 5ghz band wifi signal is horridly bad, forced to use 2.4ghz at home
- Battery life not great despite 5000mAh
- Screen is yellowish, but supposedly google prefers a "warmer" white balance
- Customization of android compared to samsung and others is restricted significantly

If this phone were more than $500 I'd say not a good value, but at $400 off, plus half price mint service, great value here.

Hi, Do you need to use your old Pixel to back up photos? Or you just need to have your old Pixel active while you upload automatically using your new Pixel?

You need to use the old phone. I keep Google Photos backup off on my new phone, but sync the camera folder to my old phone using the free app Syncthing, which is installed on both devices. It took some messing with the settings of that app but works pretty flawlessly and all my photos and videos are backed up in the cloud in high quality for free and all the stuff like Faces and AI recognition works too Smilie
