Two previous threads have a lot of good info. Search Mint for the posts.
Summary:
The phone is UNLOCKED (I bought it and activated with my existing plan).
The plan is NOT tied to the phone or your name. You can use it for other family member (I did) or sell it.
You must activate the plan in 45 days after purchase.
If don't port in a number, you only get 6 months service.
One person reported switching to Fi from Mint and immediately port it back and getting 12 months.
Some people say you can port in Google Voice number by paying $3 to Google.
You CANNOT cancel the plan only and keep the phone (some tried but was told to cancel the whole purchase or none).
Some people have AMEX offer of $45 off $90 (I used it and got confirmation email from Amex immediately).
You may find referral code to get $15 (I did not use it).
You can use Cash Back site to get some extra dollars back. Ex. urlhasbeenblocked $5 back (It worked for me).
To find the deal manually, go to https://www.mintmobile.com/, click top menu Phone - Deals.
It's unlocked, many (including myself) have bought this deal and confirmed
Every time this gets posted that it's restocked I get tempted but I really don't want the Pro version. I would much prefer the size of the regular Pixel 7, I've been hoping they would offer a similar deal for the Pixel 7 but it does not appear that will be happening.

When was your order canceled, right away or days later? I ordered last night and it hasn't been canceled and received email, "Your Mint Mobile order has been received!"
9am this morning. Soon after I chatted them to try and speed it up. Hope yours goes through. The phone is under the deals section now at full price.

Back of the box says I need to activate within 45 days of purchase.
But then I just got an email saying otherwise. I guess I will have to activate early.

We noticed you purchased your Mint Mobile plan on 12/30/2022,
but haven't activated it yet. So, this is an official (gentle) reminder to
activate your plan because your SIM card actually becomes inactive in
30 days. And nobody wants that.
I got the same email. I was way outside the 45 days window. Ordered on 12/10/2022 and activated on 1/31/2023 after getting an email on 1/30 that it will expire on 2/15/2023. Still got 12 months of plan.

Ngl I'm a little pissed off I couldn't get the 12 months free like you did. I tried everything on the phone to at least have them give me the additional free line. No dice. I've been a spectrum mobile customer for about 2 and a half years.
EDIT: Now that I think about it maybe it's because I was already a spectrum mobile customer, not just spectrum internet like you. Either way it's annoying when existing customers get the shaft so they can jingle shiny deals to new customers, but that's everyone.
I never got the promised Spectrum wireless plan... I got the S22+ from Google Fi deal because the pixel 7 pro was really crappy for me so I returned the phone and they took away the 1 year free plan even though I was given without buying the phone. I spent hours with them and multiple days because they could support E sim on S22 phones, but they can't. They ended up billing me for a phone line I couldn't use and several more hours trying to get them to stop billing me and giving me the 1 year phone plan as promised. They couldn't so they gave me a little discount on my internet plan. One of the worst phone experience I've ever dealt with. Dealing with Spectrum mobile is completely different than their internet department. I'm still not sure if I want to call them to collect on the phone line.... it's not worth the aggravation dealing them. Terrible customer experience compared to any other service provider I ever used...phone or internet.

oh brother you are not alone. in the very month i bought my pixel 7 i had spent over 24 hours on the phone with spectrum fixing billing issues and order problems. anything that you could think of that could go wrong along the way did. i will absolutely never ever buy a phone through spectrum ever again.
