In for an LCD-X (I ASSume 2021 model). I have the closed version of this. I typically prefer CB, but I hear so many folks rave about the open back as well, I figured I can give it a whirl at this price point with minimal risk.

For the uninitiated, these seem like audiophile and studio monitoring headphones and not a regular brand like bose or sony.. research before you buy as the plain sound signature is not everyone's cup of tea.

I have the LCD-X closed back and yep, it's relatively neutral. Smooth and details for days.

The LCD-2 closed back (sold out a long time ago) are much "warmer" (bassier) and less analytical.
