Honestly these deals are a little disappointing after seeing Google's big marketing dollars push upon the 7's launch.

Pixel 7: Has been available with trade-in values for a significant period of time for net cheaper than this

Pixel 7 Pro: Mint deal at $499+plan has been in and out for over a week now, plenty of time to grab one (including now)

Pixel 6a: Was literally just $299 for over a week straight from google store

A-series buds: Were just $50 at Target last week

Hub: Same price it's been before

I don't know..a little underwhelming for me.

Do note that the Google trade in process is very slow! A 3rd party sends you a trade in kit using the slowest USPS and then you send it back using the slowest USPS, and wait 5 business days for assessment. Totaling about 3 weeks to complete trade in from day of purchase…

I got a pixel 6 for 199 as a tmobile upgrade.. no contract or credits.. bought outright, had it unlocked days later.

With this 499 bf deal for the 7, can I trade in the 6? If so, what would be the trade in amount?

From what I can see, you'd get $490 for a pixel 6 trade in towards a pixel 7.

Thanks. Will keep my eyes open for the bf deal. I am a bit worried about the trade in processing tho, as I have read some get screwed by the 3rd party company doing the assessment... people sending in perfect phones being told there was a disqualifying issue (cracked display or whatnot).

It's hardly a problem. It's mostly people sending the phone in a shotty box or bag. If you send it correctly and make sure it won't get there broken, you should be fine. Also, take pictures and video of the phone with the IMEI number too. They can't dispute the photos or video if you send it to customer support.

I've sent a pixel 1, pixel 4a5G, and a pixel 6pro. Never had a problem with it getting there and being denied the trade in. Send it in a good box, covered, and protected.

Anyone comment on of it's worth trading in the pixel 5 for $400 and buying the pixel 7 for $100?

That's assuming the trade in value stays when the deal goes live.

i expected a promo with fi service -- got an s22+ this year for like, $400 or something + 4 months of google fi. i figured they would get rid of the 6a for like 149 or 199 with a similar deal. its been 299 for weeks already.
