I have two of these monitors (top two in image).

Honestly - they're great. Nice build quality and image. 165hz (though I run at 120hz for 10bit color). G-Sync compatible so it works with my 3080. RTINGS gives it a mixed deal score of an 8.2 saying...

The HP OMEN 27i is a great gaming monitor. It has an outstanding response time, so there's very little blur behind fast-moving objects. It also has excellent low input lag for a responsive gaming experience, and it supports FreeSync variable refresh rate technology. On the other hand, this monitor isn't a great choice for late-night gaming, as it has a low contrast ratio and poor black uniformity.

Will you still be using it for gaming or only work?

Then I recommend a 4K monitor possibly. Do you need it asap or can you wait a couple weeks?

This one is currently available (option 1) - https://slickdeals.net/f/16132612-dell-27-4k-uhd-monitor-s2721qs-279-and-dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721dgf-269

Otherwise we see the Samsung M7 32" 4K monitor almost monthly and I recommend waiting for it. Usually B&H has it for around $220-250. It's not on sale right now though.

I keep debating this, but 4k res is too small for my liking. I read about others downscaling, but that seems to be hit or miss with clear text display.

Got it. Yeah, makes sense. I use a 4K display at work but I just have windows scale everything else up 150% so the text is clear still if that makes sense. This monitor in this deal is great though

Here's the deal btw - 4k and 32" so a good amount larger screen. You can always scale up the picture as well still.

I was considering this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1

Thoughts on the comparison?
