Almost nobody price matches black Friday items anymore. There was too much hassle for the companies so they pretty all stopped even trying. Newegg has free returns until January 14th.

Here's what I had to say yesterday about the A5 K1. Unfortunately at the time the deal was (apparently temporarily) expired:
I recieved mine today. I haven't had a lot of time with it. I did want to note that all the specs of what I recieved match up with review from notebookcheck. The display is brighter and more vivid than the Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 that was available last week from best buy for 549. The speakers are louder, and the mids and highs are clearer (not much bass from either). The battery life is significantly better than what's reported about the G5 MD. After an hour of a youtube stream at 4k, the battery was down to 69% (nice) from starting at 95%. When I did this test with the Lenovo, it went from 95% to 51%. These are both laptops at stock settings out of the box. The only thing I adjusted on the A5 was the fan curve in the gigabyte app as it's pretty aggressive out of the box. The bottom chassis is built like a tank but the top LCD cover isn't that great. It does have flex when pressing down on it in the middle when the laptop is closed. There isn't any wobble when using the laptop and the flex of grabbing the corners of the LCD is about in-line with the Lenovo (the Lenovo might have been slightly better). Anyways, I've decided to keep this laptop as it does everything it needs to out of the box, with only some adjustments to the fan curve only necessary. I may repaste it with the newly released mx6, but I haven't decided yet. Anyways thought I'd share.

This checks a lot of the boxes for me, and at this price, there isn't anything spec'd like this. 16GB of Ram and a full powered 3060 for $729. On paper this is hard to beat. My issue is the owner reviews. There are a lot of 1 star reviews that say the unit died ___ months or hours in. Build quality may not be good and I've avoided Acer Nitro's expressly because of that, and am getting that same vide with this.

I currently have both, but will be returning one or both after my tests. I haven't opened the gigabyte yet though, but I've tried the Acer and was impressed with how the temps were while playing warzone at high settings. The temps hit around mid to high 70s on avg for cpu. For some reason, my afterburner didn't show temp so I don't know what it was. The fan noise was fine and I didn't use turbo mode which increases the fan noise.

I'll be doing more tests after a clean install of win 11.

If you want better cpu and better build quality, go for helios.

For strictly gaming, this is a better deal as the performance in most games will be gpu bound, so not much difference between the two.

92% sRGB, so around 70% NTSC probably

It's bright enough for most needs and the colors are miles better than the cheaper 500 dollar deals we've been seeing. And yes, the panel I have is exactly the same BOE08B3 model display as found in the review.

That might have just been that vendor. Newegg's version has Windows 11 Home.
