The Aluminum frame should keep it lighter from cheaper options.

Bikes were dropping in price for a while but kind of stopped now.

No handle grip turning for me. But otherwise reps, decent deal.
Agreed, tires not fat enough for off-road.
I would look for a used Cannondale or Specialized--even Giant.
Suspension not that important unless on a long, sick mountain ride or really bumpy ride.
Skip the suspension and focus on the gear shifting and the weight of the bike. At these price points, the suspension is kind of a novelty. You don't really need it IMHO. Especially with a quality seat.

That has scam written all over it. Please delete the link.
24" Schwinn Sidewinder -$148 at Walmart online. Black is in stock.
I would recommend this one over the one posted.
Diamondbacks are also cheap and pretty good bikes.
I also recommend mountain bikes for street riding in the city. You never know what you are gonna have to go over so not to crash into a car.

There are some market corrections on overstocked stuff, but supply chains are still stretched and demand although lower than last year, probably still much higher than pre-pandemic levels.
This is also a generic warning along bikes of all price points: bike frame quality control was meh before the pandemic and in many companies that pulled the trigger on doubling (or whatever crazy) increase their orders in China, QC is only expected to drop. Be weary of dirt cheap bikes, especially for the many that buy them and plan on DIY electrifying.

I bought the red XL one, the size suggestions are correct. Have to return it. Bought the large, again in red for this price. Besides some minor issues and bad timing with the brake cable needing adjustment and a slight wobble in the wheel the bike is actually pretty damn good for a cheap Walmart bike.
I would NEVER actually use this for mountain biking, for that go buy an expensive bike. However I bike 5-35 miles a day over some short, but steep hills, very potholey and uneven sidewalks and the bike so far is holding up. For most people going around town this bike is fine, just make sure to tune it up a few times for the first month.
