Intrigued. How is the MX450 for gaming at this price point, compared to integrated graphics? I'm not looking to play the latest AAA titles but hoping to be able to use it for same standard gaming alongside using the laptop as a work laptop.

I just got a laptop with the MX450 and it is far superior to integrated graphics. I'm able to run games like Genshin Impact on maximum graphics with no problem.

Couldn't see how heavy it is. Is it listed somewhere?

Thinkpads are vastly superior to Ideapads. In fact, Ideapads are pieces of trash. Save yourself a headache and spend the extra buckaroos on a Thinkpad.

Do not buy this laptop! The GPU Nvidia MX 450 2GB is absolute garbage. The minimum should be 1650 or 3050 TI (don't think it comes in 14" laptop size though)

Nvidia MX 450 does not support video encoding. So forget about playing and streaming at the same time. https://developer.nvidia.com/vide...matrix-new

Essentially this GPU is for casual business users only.

This is BS! They won't give me modern drivers for my GTX 280s, but still support MX450?!

I have the ideapad 5 pro 14 with the 5800u/vega 8. and i am actually pleasantly surprised by how good the overall laptop is. The only cons i can think of besides the soldered ram and single M.2 is the cheapish touchpad. OEM batteries are available but you will need to wait a month or 2 for ship.

For $700-800, everything in the laptop is well balanced imo. The display is EXCELLENT, build quality is excellent and has a better hinge than a majority of windows laptops, the connectivity is pretty average and external displays are limited to 1080/1440p 60 Hz (haven't tried 4k), but you can connect 2 external displays, the keyboard feels like butter, battery life is great (iGPU might be more efficient than mx450), it charges very quickly, and the speakers are surprisingly great despite being bottom facing. The performance is honestly amazing, i consistently get "how are you running so much $hit at the same time" at the office. Thermals are passable, not exactly sure how good or bad, but i am at 40-60% usage pretty consistently and hover around 65 to 74 C with the lid closed.

And last of all the design is so sleek and elegant. Its like the lenovo legion "slimmest". Love lenovo's design language.
