Yup. In my experience, J Crew factory quality is much worse than the main brand compared to BR factory to BR

I believe basically all of them do that, so yes. Doesn't mean it's not an ok deal, just might have 400 thread count vs 500, double stitched vs triple, ykk zipper vs generic, etc... Small money saving differences but the quality will still be close, especially if you aren't familiar with the brand.

That said, the clearance may have some reg JCrew stuff mixed in too.

Looks like the clearance sale does not start until tomorrow.

I'll still buy some stuff if I find a good deal (likely from clearance). Will report back later with an edit if I do!

Status check in case they increase prices tomorrow! Hate when companies do that (Nike!).

Well if you wear khakis to do construction work sure, or order 3 sizes too small maybe, but otherwise you must wear pants differently than I do.

80-90% of my closet is j crew or JCrew factory. Factory isn't as good as the brand of course but still very stylish. My clothes do great in the washer/dryer and I've been wearing some pants I purchased from there 5+yrs and they still look good

Fully agree. I used to shop a lot of business shirts and J Crew factory ones are a joke. It wrinkles the moment you wear and as you go in to the office the shirt is as wrinkled as you have been worn it for five days.

The quality feels cheap too compared to many other brand. I think they are on par or slightly lower than Old Navy now.

It depends on what you're buying. Generally w/ factory BR and factory jcrew jackets are okay. However pants, shirts, shorts, etc not so much. This applies to both BR and jcrew. Sweaters are okay as well.

J Crew factory is poor quality. Not comparable to J Crew at all. After the first wash they won't be the same.

Agree with everybody. Quality definitely cheaper then regular jcrew, so have to look at these clothes as if it rips/falls apart, I can replace it - ie fast fashion
