These comments always make me laugh, zero basis, zero content and zero knowledge. I've had many Samsung appliances in different homes with zero issues, ever.

Just bought an LG about 2 months ago, replaced Samsung that im pretty sure needed a new board and still worked if powercycled every couple hours. Was 14.5 years old

The new Consumer Reports annual guide has ratings for around 100 refrigerators. Came out yesterday. It's downloadable only. Some of the LG and Samsungs rated very highly.

I scrap ice from under the drawers once a week for 5+ years on the Samsung "deal" I got.

From what I gather from all postings everywhere, Samsung and Lg fridge were good 7+ years ago. Samsung had issues with ice maker few years ago. LG had problems with linear condenser around same time. Question is are these issues addressed? Probably because I haven't heard of any recent horror stories. But we don't know yet.

Meanwhile all brands unless you buy Viking and others at super high end, their quality is all suspect these days.

lol - so true - I have been scraping ice off my $2500 Samsung for a good 3 years now. Not sure what brand to buy next though since they all have bad reviews
