I went on a cruise on Carnival Conquest in August 2022 through Costco Travel as our first family cruise (family of 4 with a 13 and 14 year old). We splurged on the Balcony cabin.

No complaints, in general, especially given how cheap the cruise was. Be aware that the Carnival Conquest seems to be one of their older ships. It's clean, but the pool is small and the water slides are a little short. Food is good, and the fees are all inclusive. We hit a storm the first day out, and the ship did sway some. Make sure you bring sea sickness medication if you're not sure if you get sea sick. The onboard store ran out of the medication that day.

Watch out for the additional fees, we purchased the Internet access and the Bubbles package (the soda package). The big fees are the shore excursions. Make sure you research on YouTube on what is worth going to.

All in all, it's a decent, cheap vacation. I think next time we'll go on a more modern ship that has more of everything (bigger pool, more entertainment, etc).

Still need to be vaccinated and 5 boosters? No ty

Basically all cruise lines got rid of those requirements a couple months ago.

What's worth checking though is specific country's requirements. I've been looking into a Carnival cruise in April and if you're <13 and unvaccinated all you need is a negative test. It's idiotic yes - I could bring a 12 year, 11 month old with no issues but the day they turn 13 they're a disease bag. No sense at all.

Just curious, are cruises for one way only and you have to figure out airplane tickets back or it's a round trip? I want to go on one next year.
They drive you to the bahamas and then leave you there

The carnival cruise I am going on Saturday has no testing requirements, or vax requirements. So yeah it probably does depend on ports on the cruise that may require that nonsense.

This worked out to be a really good deal for me, looks like MSC has a good deal for solo travelers, 80% off single supplement. I booked on MSC a solo room, for 4-day MLK weekend cruise to Bahamas. I chose the Premium Ocean View Stateroom option Got the drinks and WiFi package Black Friday deal (and verified with the travel agent and online with MSC website that it does mean alcoholic drinks, WITH bottled and draft beer, common liquors and spirits!), and $25 on-board-credit. All that came to $350 before tax and fees, $460 total. If you take the cheapest inside cabin option, it's only $350, tax and fees included! That to me, is a crazy good deal, especially for solo cruising.

I like to travel to places and then make my own way through cities, etc, taking public transport or renting a car. Along the way, I find interesting places and food and rarely join any official tours. Is it really better to be stuck on a boat eating at a buffet?

Does anyone keep getting the error "Sorry, we're having a problem on our end" when trying to view this deal?

3 nights are usually that price or not much more. NCL had a killer deal yesterday cruise was half price and 2nd person got free airfare when you booked air with ncl.

Coming out to $806 after worthwhile room/deck upgrades
Yup... Mine was about the same, after choosing a decent balcony room and minimum 2 people. Plus taxes and fees. For such a short cruise.. not worth it since I'd have to fly to Miami. And the ship is pretty old too. We'll find something worthwhile though! Keep looking!

Right. There's a lot of justified gate towards Carnival but damn sometimes you just want to cheap 3-4 day cruise. If you stay at a red roof inn vs a Westin, you know you're getting a lower tier product. Same with Carnival.

There's a reason this cruise is so cheap. Carnival is a budget cruise line whose poor quality is well documented throughout the industry. This is one of their oldest ships, built in 2002 and last renovated in 2009. I'd avoid this or any Carnival cruise regardless of how attractive the price appears.
You are wrong. Traveled several cruises, all of which are very similiar the only difference is carnival is usually a bit cheaper.
