CVS always seems to have people, and I'm always wondering "why are you buying things here?" The prices are so inflated and I always see ecbs on the ground so they're not even using the rewards, it's wild.
Big Lots used to be junky like Ollie's is now. I'm not sure what/when it happened, but Big Lots are now clean and organized and much more uniform across the board. It's not a scavenger hunt like Ollie's lol
And how CVS continues to do such a brisk trade is a mystery given all the "upgrades" to their pricing and coupon policies. I've all but given up on them. And I used to find such wonderful deals there.

Have you ever seen a Big Lots commercial? The stores here do look similarly organized like the ones on tv. It's night/day from what they used to be.

Did anyone know it was National Pizza Day? Were there even any free deals? I feel like I missed something

My 'favorite' store has only had most of the tags up probably one week out of the last three months. Heck, half the time, the employees don't even know what the deals are unless one of us couponers who shop there mention it. And of course there are no ads, not even the 'one' that corporate started out sending to the stores.
There are people in and out of the store all the time, and they buy incredibly over priced stuff. Even when someone gets an ecb on their receipt and the cashier or I say something to them about it, the conversation goes something like this:
Customer: Well I just finished shopping and this will expire before I get a chance to use it.
Me or Employee: Then you should take that $10 and go buy yourself something - anything.
Customer: Nah, I don't have time.
Most days after coupons and ecbs, I'm spending pennies, and for me CVS is a money maker overall, but it kills me to hear people's totals $33, $72, $114, and they don't flinch at all.
Customer: Nah, I don't have time. Here, you take it.
Me: It's not going to work on my card.
Customer: What, my money isn't good enough for you?
It's amazing how people can get so upset over something that
they were going to throw out.
