I have 2. One on each door and have been working fine for 4 years. 4.4 out of 5 with 4,750 reviews says otherwise. Maybe you have a power problem?
Got this last year and it is nice to have the battery back up and the kids use the outside door opener all the time. It is really quiet as it doesn't shake the whole house now like the previous twist drive one we had. I might have paid $89, don't remember. Wish it had an app for opening with the phone.

They have two different versions, this one is specifically for Black Friday and has a different sku. You have to hunt them down as the websites don't show the inventory. Got one today in a pile near the lumber section with a handwritten price sign.

Any way to search for inventory online?

Edit: Grabbed one for $50 with $50 off opening a HD card. Teller made a mistake and was supposed to be $25 off but they honored it.

Personally, I prefer the yolink system. The meross was temperamental and a lot of wires.

Well, yes. The springs actually do the heavy lifting. I suspect that a lot of people that had these die may have had springs that were going. I can lift my single (and very heavy!) door with my hands.

3/4 hp is plenty powerful for most doors, unless it's an old wood panel one. Most modern doors don't need more than 1/2 hp. But having said that, the Genie brand isn't what it used to be, so I fully believe the other comment claiming multiple died.

I bought one last week and installed it yesterday. I was replacing a 5 year old genie - almost every part was re-usable on this one, if I wanted to use them. The installation itself was very straight-forward (the diagrams are HUGE). The door is ridiculously quiet.

The only problem I have had so far is programming it for my 2013 Ram with Homelink. I had no problems programming the previous genie into my truck. Others have apparently had the same issue.

I also bought and installed it a few days ago and had a problem linking it to my car. It was because of the rolling code system that it uses. You can probably YouTube it and get insurrections.
