"The T7 Shield is compatible with PC, Mac, Android devices, gaming consoles, and more.* Included in the box are USB Type C-to-C and Type C-to-A cables** for added convenience.

*Compatibility with host devices may vary. Some operating systems may require T7 Shield reformatting.
**T7 Shield is compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0."

...The same goes for the T7 (non-shield):

If this can be used to store games and play games from it, what benefit does it offer over an internal nVME Gen 4 SSD? Are speeds faster or the same given that one would have to use a USB 3.1 connection?
Thanks

Internal NVMe is much faster than any external device (T7 or NVMe in an external enclosure). When I benchmarked the T7 on my Lenovo T14 laptop the internal NVMe card was over 3,000 MB/sec vs 1,000 MB/sec on the T7. When putting an NVMe in an external enclosure the bottleneck will be the USB bus speed:

I hope that helps.
