Just left the store - marked $799.99 in store too. Didn't want to deal with the hassle trying to get them to price match their ad when it said $799.99 both online and in store. If anyone is successful getting it for $749.99 from Costco, please post

Costco sent me an email saying this would be $749 starting today, but on their website it is listed as $799.

Password manager and security key. I guess you don't use any online services besides your troll account on slickdeals.

This is was my first MacBook, and the best notebook overall that I have ever owned. Great battery life, great performance, no issues whatsoever other than a self inflected pressure mark on the screen (I was hanging a picture on the wall, dropped it and it landed on the screen 🤦 )

I've been getting the itch to upgrade, but I have no reason to. This machine is solid.

Try going to your local Costco. $749 is a price I have seen in store last year in Costco. Glad pricing is reverting back to sale price as it should since their M2 chip laptops are now available. Definitely worth the Costco buy! I'm so tempted

Why not replace the screen?

This deal keeps coming back like a zombie, it's a bad deal, especially 2 years later with 8GB ram...

Newbie on the Mac…should I purchase any software in particular with it?
Only software that I ever purchased was MS office Mac version for 9.99. But I have moved on to Google office and do not use MS anymore. My recommendation is do not buy software in anticipation, rather buy one when you need it.

Where'd you get it for so cheap? I'm holding off on upgrading from 10.13 High Sierra because I have MS Office 2011 that will be obsoleted by an upgrade (it's 32 bit). TIA.

I've been a member for years and only get auto program emails from Costco. How are you getting deal emails from them? I want that $749 price!🤣

Funny you think America has the broadband capability for all that. Transfer to other media are faster. Since you believe in tales in your head maybe once Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, Tooth fairy and Leprechaun come together and fix that. Write them letters!! My music collection is far past this SSD space.
America has the broadband for that absolutely..all major cities have fiber. 5g is everywhere, starlink, and 4g.

when covid hit, Europe had to cut Netflix down from HD, same with other streaming services due to congestion of their infrastructure. U.S.A. had no issues. Chump

People mostly brag about getting the newest iPhone more than anything....
Of course they brag about having the latest and greatest. I was talking about the crowd of people who blindly buy every upgrade, including storage to "up the ante".

Quote from ebolaboi :
Apple could easily throw 1TB drive in there but, they wont.
Is Apple's pricing for more memory, disk space, CPU, etc. pretty ludicrous? Yes, but people keep paying the premium for these upgrades. Apple could certainly afford to slap in a 1TB SSD in these laptops without dramatically raising the price, but they don't because they know people will pony up the extra cash. To each their own....
