I like them better than Smartwool and other comparable brands. Better still, I trust them. They fit me very well because they don't try to do one size fits all. The wool means you can get a few wears out of them before washing if needed. Also the lifetime warranty is great from what I hear though after about 5 years I still haven't needed to use it. I find it a better investment to buy a few pairs of these instead of a whole drawer bin of crappy socks.

I'm new to darn tough, always had my eye on em from previous deals but couldn't justify the cost in the past but now I can. Are they worth it? Anything to know about them specifically, like a good item line to buy? (Seems there are many options). About me: mostly desk job but about 1-2 hours of walking at work. Right now I go through packs of gold toe socks and don't have too many issues with them, but could be in the market for something more comfortable.

In my opinion, yes they are worth the extra cost. I've worn mountaineering micro crew extra cushion for over a year and they are very comfortable regardless of the season. Lifetime warranty as other have stated is a nice bonus.
