Anyone have experience installing these? I have two lights on the sides of my garage. Wondering if this will be plug and play. Black, white, green wires etc. thanks!

I'm pretty sure you have to wire it white to white black to black And I think it's green to green copper to copper the copper is the ground wire just make sure that you grounded even to the light wire box. So it's just like that with the wire nuts it's not that complicated unless you never done it before but still it's pretty easy. Take a picture of the wiring to your old light fixture it'll help give you a reference of the wiring. I hope this helps a little bit

If your current fixture doesn't get any direct weather you can just put a normal hue bulb in there. I've had normal hue bulbs in my outdoor lights that are under a patio cover, eaves, and awnings for 4 years with no issues and I live in a super humid area. Of course YMMV but had been fine for me.

I'm not a fan of these types of light fixtures that don't have a bulb to be replaced. Went with something similar (not Hue) and had problems with one of the lights. Only way to fix it is to order a proprietary light kit sold by the vendor and take the whole thing apart to replace it.

Not bashing this product. I love Philips Hue and never had issues with them, but I think it's important to consider as a homeowner. I'd prefer a standard fixture with a bulb and just add a Hue bulb.

Exactly. My fixture provides overhead coverage but no awning or anything and Hue bulb has been running for about five years. I love the features, fade in/out based on sunset and the one on side of house I max out to 30% so I'm not shining the next door neighbors' kids' rooms. MN so temps range from -30F and snow to 105F.

Yes, just like that. Super easy. Took about 5 minutes on each light.
