What model is this exactly? Couldn't find anything for just "all terrain" since they all mention AT3, AT4, etc.

This seems like it might be a Walmart only product. I don't see that model listed anywhere besides Walmart. I did see someone claim to have wanted them but their local tire shop said these aren't the AT3's, so he passed on them.

What does your AT3 obsession have to do with this post? Why do we care if you only want a certain model of tire? This is a cooper tire sold accross the country.

As a tires salesman I can tell you all that cooper quality has gone down the drain in the last two years. Ive had to replace full Cooper sets for wobbling/shaking multiple times this last year alone.

Also this is the wally world version of the at3.

I've had 2 sets of at3s in a row that had to be replaced due to uneven wear/wobble. I would stay away from cooper personally. I hear their quality has gone down hill fast the past couple of years

I looked into these for my vehicle (245/65r17). While they appear the same as the at3's I noticed in the specs that they're like 4-5lbs lighter than the at3's. They're also about a 100 bucks cheaper per tire. I rolled the dice on a deal like this with some walmart specific goodyear tires on my other car and I haven't been pleased. Traction seems like crap and the mileage promise is looking pretty dubious after a couple years. I know that's an apples to oranges comparison but it gives me great pause about using a Walmart only tire again. If you have fleet farm in your area they'll be running a b3g1 deal on all tires for black friday. It'll still be a couple hundred more but at least you'll know it's the true version with no cut corners.

I bought the Mastercraft Courser [walmart.com] version of this tire from Walmart for my Pathfinder. I think the Mastercrafts are also made by Cooper. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

It was fine for the first 10k miles. After that it got really noisy. At around 40k miles, even though it still had a lot of thread left, I had to replace it with Yokohama Geolanders HT. My mechanic friend said it sounded like my wheel bearing were bad, that's how noisy it was. Anyway, just sharing.

Yes, I had a full set of coopers discoverers on my silverado turn into wobble monsters and separate on me. Absolute garbage for how much I paid for them. And of course they were just outside the massive recall. I won't be buying cooper's again anytime soon.

I got these on my truck yesterday and was really surprised by how smooth and quiet they were on the highway.

Check continental, general, nokian, Michelin, to name a few good tire brands

They are not the same design... Walmart AT is better for mostly on road driving with occasional off road use.

AT/3 has better sidewall protection and better off road performance. More on road noise but still manageable.
