This would probably be great for that. I've put three adults in a similar 4 person Coleman tent before and that felt a little bit tight. I've used my 4 person Coleman tent extensively (40+ nights) and it's held up in a West Texas monsoon thunderstorm. It did develop a small leak in the rainfly after a few years, but I seam-sealed it and it's been great ever since.
