Not a bad price but, I think, for the money you're better off with a Hisense U6GR, or TCL S546. Or if you want to go a little smaller the U6HF.

For $22 more ($370) Amazon still has 55U6GR 55" Hisense QLED with Roku OS. This Crystal is a buy at $310-320. I'm guessing they don't have many of these. If they did it would certainly make a great $299 BF deal.

I'm here in slickdeals looking for a new TV deal because of Hisense. I built a house in 2020 and bought 3 Hisense TVs. One top end 65", a mid tier 50", and a bottom tier 50". 2 of the 3 have already died. The 65" is the only one still going. The 65" has been great. The other 2 were okay when they worked. Constantly had to clear cache to get then to run smooth.

What model did you purchase? That's really interesting that you had so many failures and I'm starting to think there might be another constant there rather than the TVs. Maybe there is something going on with your power or something?

It sounds like you purchased the lowest end which is not the models that I've suggested as better purchases. If you're having to clear the cache that much it is likely bottom barrel Hisense. Further, Hisense has come a loooong way in two years. It's impressive. As long as you accept the limitations with Hisense you'll generally be happy now. (Some posterization, panel lottery, and color banding)

I have a 10 year old Samsung in the same house still going strong. 3 monitors in my office that are all good. The Hisense TVs have been the only issue. The other Hisense deal thread on here from a couple days ago has many of the same longevity complaints. The models I had were the H9G (still working), the H8G (dead), and the H4G (dead)

My H8G just died almost on the 2 year mark. Read it's a flash memory issue and you can replace motherboard but costs half of what tv did. Useless.
