Total waste of time
Total waste of time
- prices that it shows per cruise are per person taking into account the free people.
- gratuity and taxes will be extra. Taxes due at checkout. Gratuity due during the end of the cruise.
Some selections already at open bar and specialty dining. Those can be removed which saves on the automatically added gratuity. The gratuity for those are due at the time of purchase.
All said, this is a decent deal, but I feel like some of the end rates per person are as expected. Anytime there's the option for balcony prices in the $500 range, it's a pretty good deal on week long cruises.
Cabins are always quoted double occupancy. Industry standard. Solo cabins are available.
Gratuities are the life blood of the service teams. Don't short change them.
In case someone overlooks it, bar service costs more for longer cruises. You drink more. Shocker. Typical single cocktail is $12-15 each at the bar. Not uncommon for a cocktail at any restaurant. The free drink package can be removed for further discounts but you need to be a light drinker on the ship to see any benefit.

Started with searching $759 Alaska cruise somewhere in August,
Went all the way to check out and Didn't select anything extra except for the airport.
Final price for 2 is now $6134.40
Now, that's a lot or a loooooot for 2 travelers. That's why I don't trust these advertised cruise prices

After that experience, I vowed to never ever go on an NCL cruise and to make sure I tell everyone so they can avoid the headache and stress they caused us.

So it seems people may want to avoid booking flights through NCL. How was the cruise itself though?
