Any feedback from the home gym enthusiasts? It's no Rogue, Rep, Griffin etc but will this bench do for a basic <400lbs (including user) setups?

I have this one from a previous. It's pretty solid. I need to buy something so I can use an actual bar instead of just dumbbells. I just wish that the height adjustments were a little more finely spaced so there are more angles to work with.

I had a similar problem and i just use a piece of plywood. It wedges in between and holds up the bench to any desired angle. You can search it on YouTube for more details. Hope it helps.

I'm getting are DIY plywood weight benches when I search for it, can you please share an example link?

Sorry couldn't find any videos on it either. I must have seen it on some Amazon review video then. But basically you put a wooden wedge in between the "metallic stops" and the adjustable handle which angles the bench to different positions. So essentially you get a higher angle than the stops provide.

Pretty solid. Not very comfort with decline, so I just do flat and incline.

The dimensions are a bit unclear, and from the picture the height looks like it could be problematic, especially for shorter lifters. You want to be able to firmly plant your feet on the floor while bench pressing. Additionally, most good adjustable benches have gone to a tripod design so that the base does not get in the way of your feet while lifting.

Rep is having nearly all of their benches on sale for BF, and their entry level benches might be a better value than this.

Worth mentioning the cheapest adjustable from rep is ~$250

Yeah definitely not cheaper, but depending on what the user is looking for a Rep bench could be a better value.
