i dont know about food but for hotel, i usually look at travelzoo or groupon for best value, some (like travelzoo) include food like daily breakfasts. if you have points, i know many have redeemed points for hotel stays in bora bora.

Just a heads up for anyone planning to go to Bora Bora, keep in mind that even though it's only a 45 minute flight from Tahiti to Bora Bora, it will be another ~$400/person (not to mention the astronomical room rates). If you want a cheaper option, I'd recommend the ferry (or a cheap flight) to Mo'orea. But then again, if you're planning to go to Bora Bora, you're probably expecting a big dent in your wallet.
