I can see smaller hdtv's maybe can have store pickup but 65 inchs and above being shipped to home, right?
As to some people saying this tv would suck, really, 65 inch for 229 dollars 4k TCL brand. If you feel that way, why even post?
Most of us are glad you are not buying this hdtv, because the odds are better for those of us that would love this tv at this price.

But your greater point is valid, areas do work like that. Compared to the Target 43-incher, this has 129% more area: (65/43)^2=2.285, more than double, whereas cost does not quite double (that was $130 but reducible slightly.) Of course, the 43-incher is a newer, improved model.

If you're an elderly woman I'm sure you have someone in your life that can assist you.
If you're a man, try taking your tampon out prior to mounting.
I bought 2 cheap 4k TVs last year and bought a Panasonic 4k blu-ray player(forgot the model number, but it was a highly recommended model here)
Then, I set up my 8-year-old LG FHD(PS4 as blu-ray player) and the new 4k TV(Panasonic as 4k blu-ray player) side by side. I was shocked I barely see any difference between them, even though I turned on all the settings like HDR. (Yes, I tried at least more than 3 movies that were recommended for the excellent 4k transfer)
There was some noticeable difference when I stream, though; it kind of makes sense due to the bitrate difference between 4k and FHD streaming.
So if you prefer playing physical copies like me, don't upgrade your TV unless it's a high-end model.
I'm curious whether your FHD TV has HDR or not. I wasn't aware an 8 year old non 4k TV would have that. Unless you mean you enabled HDR on the 4k TV and compared that with your non HDR FHD TV.
4k resolution is better but not to the point that you'd really be able to notice it all the time. HDR is really main reason people should consider upgrading their 1080p sets, but these cheap sets are terrible at processing HDR content so you might not even gain much by upgrading to this.
