The 50 inch QLED 4k is 600nits (with local dimming) which is a lot brighter than this 65 inch LED TCL 4th series (I'm not sure about the nits maybe 300-400 nits, maybe find out the real number, and no local dimming).

With the 50 inch QLED in bedroom I'm about 4 feet away in comfy chair, and 5-6 feet way from bed. And the 65 inch I'm about 9-10 feet away.

Maybe look at RTINGS review of both hdtv and look at how they rate both.

How many feet are you going to be from tv? Maybe others can chime in as to QLED picture quality to TCL 4 series LED picture Quality.
I saw another commenter who mentioned the quality, but I plan on gaming in front of the TV at a moderately close distance <4 feet. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

I have the Hisense 55 U6H it has Google Tv built in vs Roku built in for the TCL, I have the TCL 55S41 that was $188 so that is the same tv as this except it is 55" vs this 65" I know this because the owners manual for the 55 shows 55S41/65S41 on cover.
Imo, Roku is much faster with the apps/channels than Google Tv which lags more than Roku i.e. watching a YouTube video and you fast forward the Google TV buffers during these commands and is much worse on HDR vids, also loading apps are slower on Google TV, but I do like the built in Bluetooth for Google TV as it allows you to use your remote to raise and lower the volume and mute your Bluetooth headphones instead of using the headphones to raise and lower volume for example.

As far as picture the Hisense is much brighter than this TCL almost too bright, some people need a brighter picture for brightly lit living rooms and other spaces but I would say overall the Hisense has a better picture and has much more settings to adjust the picture but for this price and limited features the TCL has a pretty decent picture but keep in mind I am comparing the TCL 55S41 to the Hisense U6H, ymmv if you go with this 65S41.
Thanks, I appreciate your help!

Snagged one for the bedroom. Now I need to decide what to do with the Amazon Hisense 50." Might end up going back as I think I'll get killed by wife if I stick it in the bathroom.

If you are talking about this TCL, it has 4 HDMI ports (1of which is an ARC) which is more than the other 65" TVs
True....if you have a fire cube, 2 gaming systems and Computers using it as a secondary monitor. It helped having an hdmi switcher

Is this worth me returning the 43" TCL I got from Target for $115? Hmm…
I bought that same TV and am using it in a bedroom. This 65" is the same in every way, just a larger screen, so it's whether it fits in the space you need it. I can't fit a 65" in the bedroom myself.

As for the quality, I've been very happy with the 43" with my only complaint being the crappy off-center viewing angles. It looks great viewed straight on however, plus has plenty of ports and other features (eARC, HomeKit, built-in OTA antenna guide, etc) for the super low price.

Tried to order the $188 tv but it was cancelled twice. Not sure if I need to try this one again.

The funny thing is.. I had the W+ for almost a year while I had the AMEX Platinum and not a single benefit came out of it. Then there was a free trial for W+ which is now gone. Not sure if this TV is worth $13 monthly payment

Just grabbed me one. If anyone needs to know - this is still available. I anticipate non plus members being able to nab this.
