However the tcl 5 series is better and there is a Best Buy deal for $200 for a 55". So it depends if you want a bigger screen or a better quality smaller screen
If the TV is well designed, then it should have low power consumption. Less stress on the power supply and other internal components.
In regards to receiving the item, it showed it was in stock at 2 locations close to me but the earliest pick up date is Friday Nov 25th.
Since it shows in stock, think I can go in-store and try and get it early? Or are they shipping it to the store so I can pick it up Friday?
Any input it appreciated.

No they don't prorated just because time has elapsed.
Your maximum benefit for the service contract is the actual price you paid for the TV itself.
Meaning if you have a minor repair they will take that repair cost and subtracted from the overall price you paid on the TV.
That means if there was a service tech that charged labor besides the part that would be deducted from your lifetime benefit.
So let's say you had $100 repair and then the TV failed the maximum you're gonna get from the warranty is your purchase price of 228 minus the $100 they put into the repair.
Like I said main boards screens etc. all cost big-time money. If something fails on the TV they are likely just gonna pay you 100% in full minus the contract price.
They don't even send anybody out to investigate and diagnose the problem they'll spend a little time with you on the phone and then make a determination.
