I bought the $188 one and it was trash. Straight-on viewing was ..ok... but anything at even a slight angle and it was awful. This is the 55S41 $188 on Nov 8 or thereabouts, that I'm micro-reviewing.
I took it back, and I'll keep using a 2010 Sony; the Sony was superior.
I have a TCL 55" 4 series since they dropped to $299… like back in 2017. Used in bedroom so it's only straight - on viewing, room isn't large enough to test wide angles. But we have been very happy with the TV at price paid.

Can confirm that's accurate, mine measured at 64-3/4" x 39 x 6" actual.
At purchase, delivery was quoted for Friday with a "may be delivered early" footnote. I got a notice of delivery today 20 minutes before the scheduled delivery time, actual delivery was just over an hour past scheduled time. Delivery confirmation did include a picture of the front of the house
Just got mine. It came in a delivery van so it wasn't just a random Uber driver like they use for groceries.
at least its not doordash where the driver steals your shit and takes a picture of the whole front of the house from across the street instead of a picture of the item on the front porch, like they did to me a while back with a stand!

I just called to ask if there is a way to add the 5 year warranty for $39, as advertised at the time of purchase. Apparently, that is not possible unless you return and re-buy the TV. I asked if I would have to lug the TV back in order to so, or if I could just bring the receipt. I was told I must bring the TV back to do a return-rebuy. I'm not fully confident the CSR knew what he was talking about, so if anyone has a different experience, please post it here!

+1, I have been told the same thing while trying to upgrade 4 year warranty to 5 year. They say once the order is done, they can't update it.
Have to return and buy again.
Appreciate if anyone can share experience on how it can be upgraded online self service or through a customer service agent
Walmart also has the 65" model 65S451 at $378. What is the difference?
The TCL 65S41 is the Black Friday variant of the TCL 65S451. The Black Friday variants are sometimes not as reliable as the official model sold by most retailers.
Picked up my TV this morning. Picture quality is fine. It is washed out a little bit if viewed from wide angle but nothing too terrible. Maybe my expectation is low because I have never owned a $300+ TV but this TV fits my need.
