Roku Ultra[walmart.com] for $30 seems like a better one to go with. That one includes a voice remote w/ headphone jack, power/volume buttons for TV and it's point anywhere type (RF).
The one in this deal is just a simple remote (IR) that must be pointed at the Roku everytime.
Worth the extra $11.

I'll echo many of the other posts here and point out that there are no volume or power buttons on this remote. I find that having one remote to start watching tv (power, volume, navigate the Roku menu) makes the overall usage experience so much nicer than having to use and find multiple remotes.
Sort of doubt $11 price difference could be a budget constraint in America, even for homeless.
The homeless people I have encountered lately a Vet . Did not have 11 dollars or a TV or even a box to sleep in it's easy to comment without thinking first we're all guilty of it. Perspective.

I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Vet an of the 13 "homeless Veterans" I interacted with in 2002 only ONE had actually served in the military.

I've been poor, $11 was the world when I was growing up. It was a pair of shoes or groceries for a few days. Let's not make people feel bad for having less.

Thank you for replying to that post. I have a family member who couldn't buy light bulbs at their podunk dollar general because they got gas in the car. I have put my last dollars in the tank in the past as well. It should be humbling that 11.00 for a Roku is a splurge to some people. <3

Beware the "homeless Vet" scam.

most people's Roku work really well for 5+ years, vs most google products crap out after about a year.
