Lots of good reviews on Amazon for this model. I have several Chefman appliances. They are decently built.
I was actually about to buy this one. Thanks for the post! Big Grin

Many people complain about the plastic tastes/smells with the produced coffee.
Does anyone know a good metal/glass (where hot water/milk/coffee directly contact) coffee maker?

Yeah don't buy that one, I tried lots of cheap espresso machines and so far my favorite is this one:
Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine, Brushed Stainless Steel, BES870XL https://a.co/d/be0d8ZB

Don't buy that one, poor grinder reviews. Better off spending your money on a standalone grinder and espresso machine.

I'm not sure that people looking at a $99 machine are also the ones willing to drop $749 on another.

Why didn't you just buy a bambino, gaggia or silvia then? No way to adjust your profile if you can't adjust your grind.

Nah the machine was a gift, my mother in law bought it and was too complicated for her so she gave it to me.

Oh I figure if they like real espresso they could try that one, any machine can make espresso but the taste of how the pressure infuses cofee with the water and creates the crema is just amazing on the most expenssive ones. But then again 99 can be too expenssive to some and 800 can be expenssive to others. I guess is all budget related. For me is about taste. 😉👍

Truth is, the 99$ machine is a terrible choice for espresso. The 700$ Breville will make okay espresso. It's just an expensive hobby, and no good way around making the machines cheaper. For the 100$ price range, you'd be better spending the money on a cheap Nespresso machine or moka pot + grinder.
