I've had this for over a year, and have used it almost daily since being flushed from home in Ukraine. It's held up nicely, good quality (and really like the taste of poor over).

I have the double-walled version and find it poorly designed. The spherical bottom makes you have to tip it nearly upside-down to empty it completely. The spout pours terribly. It's too shallow and wide, so liquid just flows wherever it wants. Using the stopper makes it better if you have the gap facing the spout, but the stopper also lets heat escape. It also doesn't have a second gap to let air in, so if you get to pouring right away and prevent air getting in before you pour, very little will come out.

I use mine every day, but only because I paid money for it. I wouldn't buy it again.

Does this serve the same purpose as a french press? Can you do cold brew in this as well? I would appreciate your insight.

Bought this years ago. Ultimately went back to a french press and aeropress. It was a terrible brew without a paper filter. Pretty but poor design.

I used one of these for several years and then broke down and got the Chemex that I had wanted to begin with. I prefer the chemex so much more. This was fine, but the Chemex feels nice. I used paper filters for both and the channel on this one is not deep enough, I would always have to use a straw to keep it from "burping" when I filled the cone. The steel filter really isn't that good if you are in pursuit of the perfect coffee.

Buy once cry once I guess...still use this as a water pitcher though.

Had this for a bit but there will be grinds with the metal filter. There are hacks on the internet to use paper filters with it but in the long run I wish I saved my $ and just bought a Hario which I ended up doing. Imo - skip this.

Nope on both counts. Look up on how to brew coffee using a french press, pour over & cold brew. They are all vastly different ways of making coffee.

No...no you have to research way more. All three are different. This is only pour over. Each is a different way to make coffee

I've used almost every brew type (can't think of one i haven't used). I like French press best.

I have a Hario and it works great. Saw this was and was intrigued by no more paper fillers, but based on the comments guess not…
