Not with Hue bulbs. Apples and oranges. Plenty of places to add hue white bulbs that don't need color but thanks for posting anyway. Got excited for a second there lol.

Are the bulbs the kind where you can change from yellow light to daylight color, and etc? I think they are called Ambiance.

Note most functionality of the bulbs appears to require the Philips hub (bridge). I can't figure out what all you're able to do without a hub, it doesn't list it anywhere as far as I've found. Not worth it in my case. The echo gen 4 has a ZigBee hub built in that gives some functionality, but still lacks some in comparison to the hue bridge hub.

Overall I'd argue there's a lot of false advertising going on...
