Any opportunity to put a smaller diameter wheel on your car to save on tires?

I took my '15 Sienna from 18" to 17" (the only OEM sizes), '13 ES300h from 17" to 16" (because the Avalon platform on which it is based supported 16"), '06 Beetle down from 18" to 15" (because the ancient Golf platform on which it was build had supported 15"). As a bonus, you will likely get marginal improvements in mileage. Just stop trying to pull those Fast & Furious corners...

Good luck!

You are missing the point. The tire that I need is more than $110, so buy 3 get 1 free is a better deal for me.

Just FYI, I had them price match to Walmart which was much cheaper, you can do that online or on the phone, I had them drop the warranty, If you are ex Military you also get a 5% discount and any rebates that might apply of course and make sure to check the dates the Pirelli's rebate ends Dec 01, 2022, so I am getting mine installed today Smilie BTW Walmart does not install Run Flats, Discount tires does Smilie

That is not true. Discount tire Michelin are same quality if you get the tire from Costco or DT. Load of crap.
The tires quality likely batch dependent. I had multiple sets of Michelin Defender on my Sienna until the 3rd set at around 170K, it was bad from the beginning. Bad on rain and bad on snow. I finally replaced them prematurely at 200K with CrossClimate2 and been happy with them. MPG might have dropped a bit but hey, safety first. Costco gasoline is better but I don't think tires are.

I found this to be a good deal. The Total after rebate, military discount, Cashback offer came to $650. Plus chase Sapphire was doing a 2 for 1 points at discount.

I don't get this. Pricing the same Goodyear tires (with the $210 off) is still way cheaper if you get the same 4 tires at Walmart. What am I missing here? How is this a slick deal?

I was able to get some "more expensive" Coopers for my Tacoma for $40.00 less than the "cheaper" Pathfinder tires! Thanks!

I took advantage of this deal yesterday. I'm very happy with the service and the tires. I'll definitely use discount tire again.
They are the best! I've always used them for my cars and haven't ever had any reason to buy them from anywhere else. The smartest thing they did was have free flat repairs no matter where you bought your tire.

Discount Tire noob here. Does the price include installation, or is installation additional? If extra, how much is it typically?

Installation is additional $82 and tire recycle fee $12 (total of $100 for 4 tires) depending on your state!

I prefer buy 3 get 1 free since my car tire is pricey, but need to change them asap.
Blains farm and fleet has buy 3 get 1 free and $100 rebate.

Be sure to check Walmart for tires.

The Pirelli P7 All Season Plus 3 for my fiancee's car run $185/each before the sale/rebates in this deal. They're $111/ea at Walmart, without getting back prepaid cards, etc.

If you want to bitch that you don't trust Wally World to install your tires, take them elsewhere just as you would with this "deal."

Yea Discount tire is known to runs "sales" that cost more than other places. Same thing when eBay has $100 tires deal also.

Always check to make sure a deal is really a deal.

I just got 4 17" Kumho LX Platinum All Season tires at Wal-Mart for $315. We put around 40k miles on the car in 8 years and mostly drive in town. Was that a horrible choice, and should I cancel the order. The reviews were pretty good. Advice is very much appreciated.

kinda pricey $1028 including tax for 4x 235/60r18
I bought 4 Michelin Defenders for my Honda Accord at Discoynt Tire for $628 out the door!! They matched Micheli s rebate & deducted from total so I don't need to mess with a rebate

My Daughter's had Michelin Defenders from Costco with no problems! I've had the Premiers twice & now got the Defenders

All Tire shops are a ripoff... They add up at least 40$ more per tire with installation and hazard protection , ..... fees... no other option ... we cannot balance a tire at home...
