these chargers use the magnets on the bottom of the controller to charge, not the USB connection. however it still won't work with PS4 controllers.

Just as a warning to anyone that places this in a lower area of a tv stand, it's hard to put these in the "correct" position unless you crouch and can do it from a proper position. They don't have a tactile response that it's locked into place, so you have to judge from the controller lighting up to know you got it. It's a great charger don't get me wrong, but my .02

do people not just plug their controllers into a USB cord from a wall wart? I also thought these charging stands were a bit strange. my PS5 is in the next room, so plugging directly into it wouldn't work. i just have the same wall wart i use for my phone and plug her in to charge.
up side, i can continue playing while the controller is charging. so no need to buy a second controller.
