I wouldn't say Husky tools are comparable to harbor freight lol.

I sorted by price and limited it to 25' models. At this price, there are only 3 models left that are cheaper. The cheapest isn't comparable as it is a different style (the exposed cage style that I do not want to touch).
The 2nd and 3rd look like cheaper plastics with one having middling reviews and the other only has 2 reviews.
More expensive is the cheaper ridgid model with middling reviews. Husky is more expensive (I have no experience with it personally, but most husky tools are comparable to harbor freight tools and I don't buy them unless I need a disposable/give away tool).
The comparable ridgid is $24 more at this price and I would save the money and buy the Milwaukee. It has good reviews and is the same plastics they use for fish tapes and such (so you can chuck it in the back of a van and it won't hurt it).
The milwaukee also has a hex drive option for power feed that looks like you could easily hook a drill to it. Maybe pair an m12 drill with the clutch set lower.

Yes and anything else you only need up to 25 feet. The outside/main line tend to need 50 up to 100 feet.

Seems like it takes a proprietary bit and driver made by Milwaukee. I don't think you can use a regular drill chuck on it.

I've been told its just a 1/4in hex shank. Worse case you can attach a long shank bit in reverse to a drill

I had a 1/4 inch drum auger that was absolutely defeated trying to unclog a kitchen drain recently. The 1/4 inch cable kept coiling inside the pipe and would eventually sort of spring back out. Ended up buying a 50 foot 3/8 inch without a drum, the augering took a lot of arm work, but it didn't have the same trouble with coiling in the pipe and ended up being effective where the 1/4 inch one wasn't. Just fyi, the one posted probably is fine for smaller clogs and less twisty pipes.

As an aside, is there an adapter for Ryobi batteries that would be recommended instead of a Milwaukee battery? (I don't own any Milwaukee batteries and I don't plan to, but I have enough Ryobi ones.) TIA!

If you have Ryobi batteries, check out the Ryobi Auger. Well worth the extra cost to have it automatically feed/retract the line. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../206405601

These little drain snake aren't going to do anything for grease and oil in a kitchen drain. I got a cheap sewer jetter from Amazon and borrowed a pressure washer. That took care of my drainage problems. Never seen so much grease come out of a clean out.
