You can spend another $50 to upgrade the ram to 16gb and you're prime for music editing, video editing, and for a better gaming experience. For those who are concerned, ram is the easiest thing to upgrade; just completely power off the PC, unplug it, pop the existing ram out without the need of any tools, and pop the new ones in.
This one should handle gaming beautifully at 1080p 60fps just fine for most games (no ray tracing because this gtx 1660 super is a generation before the first ray tracing graphics card). It already has a very capable good CPU and plenty of included storage. It's a little overkill if you don't do any gaming or video editing, but a comparable desktop without the graphics card is not even much cheaper than this, at least not one that I know of. So this is still worth it even if you game occasionally.
I myself just went for a desktop with core i7, 16gb ram, and RTX 3060 at $850. That's another option if you want even better gaming performance. But this one here is no slouch and is a good deal.

I think about May 2021 I got a Dell with same setup but with a 1650 super. It was $550 but I got $100 back on Amex.

That setup is a solid 1080p contender at a console price point. I set mine up on a TV and my family share a steam account. Works great with keyboard & mouse or a few controllers for family multiplayer stuff. Much more versatile than similar priced console setup.
