Not having a touch screen kills the deal for me. i5 vs i7 is not that big of a deal as 12th gen is plenty fast and i7 just has 2 extra performance cores (total 12 cores vs 1o in i5). Nearest touch screen XPS with 16GB memory is this [dell.com] but it costs substantially more at $1349 (for a slightly faster i7 and "plus" moniker but no OLED).

No touch screen unfortunately. And though I used to think those are pointless, once you've used them, it's impossible to go back.

Is it just me or are the laptop deals this year simply not nearly as good as in past years? I feel like I'm paying much more for the same specs.
