Been using this exact model since April as my daily driver. Bought it when it was $750 with education discount. If you are a college student, this is one of the best laptops you can have for sure. Stylus and convertible OLED screen is so great for taking notes. Although Samsung is lying about battery life, it isn't like almost 20 hours as they claim, it gets me approximately 10-12 hours daily, which is I think pretty good. Some people claim it breaks on its own. I carry it around my backpack and convert it to tablet mode at least twice a day, seems durable to me.

The 13 inch is very fragile when opening and closing, can imagine the 15.4 inch is even more sketchy

It's not on its own it from poor handling or closing the lid to hard . I have this model and found out when it was in the 30 day return period. My screen cracked when transporting it. You have to make sure the sleeve or bag that it's well padded. You can't push the screen down to hard, you really have to baby it lot more than standard laptop. It's just designed to thin and as result the screen cracks to easily.

I can't find the specific model (1TB ) open box anymore.There are mostly 256 Gb ones. Perhaps they ran out of the open boxes.
