This is $50 less with 16gb of ram vs 8gb, 300nit display vs 250 nit, I'd go with this one.

Apart from those advantages, this laptop also having Thunderbolt 4 port, very rare at this price, vs just a 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port in Dell. You can add tons of thunderbolt accessories to expand your workspace, multiple displays and even an external GPU dock.

The only advantage Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 has over this, is user upgradable Ram. But 16GB is actually more than enough for most users.

Never buy but the top of the line Business dells and only in touch screen as they are muCH better qaulity. Lenovo hinges are not under warranty and are known to break; all over the internet.
Gonna wait for dell business deal.
I'm on a 7 year old Dell XPS 13 touch now and the screen quality and edges are better than some new budget laptops.

Is the screen wider than like a surface? Id prefer that on a 14", easier to work side by side windows, and easier to pack.

WUXGA is 1920x1200. it's the same width but 180 pixels taller than FHD is (FHD+ isn't really a thing). so there's more vertical space, accounting for a bit more 230,000 more pixels, assuming you're not scaling.

surface laptop 4/5 is either 2256x1504 (13.5") or 2496x1664 (15"), so, either way has more space than this or any FHD laptop, again assuming not scaling. the 13.5" has over a million more pixels than this. the 15" has twice as many pixels as FHD. if you don't scale you can cram a ton of info on it.

the aspect ratio of this screen is 8:5 (everyone who didn't learn to reduce fractions says 16:10) which is wider than the surface's aspect of 3:2, but not as wide as the typical 16:9 screen designed to show TV shows rather than get work done.

Hmm I got the Acer Vero at Costco a few weeks ago. Should I return that and get this?

This looks to be a slightly different configuration of the exact model which is on sale at Staples right now for $499. Except here you get an extra 8GB of RAM for $50 $65 (which is good considering the RAM is soldered). But give up the Lenovo Digital Pen (which is a sour pill for those who use it).

EDIT: The price is actually $565 ($550 + $15 Shipping) unless they also sell these in store.

So, even with Costco extra warranty, when hinges break, it's practically useless, as it is not covered by manufacturer?.

Tend to agree with Dell Inspiron 15 dead under 2 years, staying away from them.

Almost he same boat, Gen 7 intel chip XPS13 with TB3 when it just came out...purchased at Costco.

Still works like a champ and I use it for work daily. Had to replace the battery and upgraded the hard drive, but it's still built better and the 4k screen sharper than most anything I've seen today. It was USD 1500 back then...but still going strong. I think it was worth the money spent.

What is the difference between this and the one we are discussing?

Major difference I could spot is the touchscreen and flex portion of it.
