I buy GCs for just about everywhere, but would advise against buying them for Instacart. I've had problems using their GCs with promo codes wherein the promo code disappears from the order and then the entire promo code value is subtracted from the GC. Without the high value promo codes, Instacart is a losing proposition. Getting CS to correct the error and refund the value back to the GC is nearly impossible.

If you have a chase Sapphire reserve and use Instacart gift cards instead of the CC, you won't get the free $15 monthly credit.
