Very good price for 32GB ram. However, if you're looking for dual rank, it might be hit or miss. According to the comments, not guarantee you will get dual rank (8 ram chips on each side of the PCB) The first image shows single rank but the other pics shows dual rank ram.

I got it delivered it has dual rank ( 8 ram chips on each side so 16 ram chips on a 16gb ram and total 32 ram chips for my 32 gb ram set) 🫡 model # CT2K16G4SFRA32A (NOTEBOOK DDR4 - 3200 sodium 1.2v CL22)

Yet the prices of laptops does not reflect lower ssd and ram prices. Have crucial 32gb from 2y ago works well... just wish theyd use lower latency ram in laptops.. 22ns, ugh

Your the MVP of this article. I totally forgot about the whole dual single rank debacle thing. Anyone who doesn't know about this, there's a Linus tech tips video on this subject and there's a huge difference in performance between the two

Would these modules work okay in a QNAP TS-873A-8G? It says it supports up to 2x32GB SODIMM DDR4. Right now I has a single 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz module. I haven't used it yet, just bought it for my
Plex server. Thanks in advance.

I think the single vs dual rank would only make a difference if you were gaming on your machine.

single vs dual rank is not going to matter in 90% of laptops. Unless you are running a mobile 3070+ or play games on min-medium settings, you're going to be GPU bound in most games. RAM performance shows up more in CPU-bound scenarios.

What you really want to avoid is those 8GB DIMMs/SODIMMs which use 4x x16-width chips which means they are essentially half-rank and have really terrible performance.

This would have been a great deal if it was CL16. CL22 is too slow for gaming.
