have a number of these 6 panel kits.

under $20 when on sale they are basic light panels with a remote, not app controlled.

can be powered with usb port, a basic usb charger or power bank

they have several auto patterns or sound activation and can be dimmed.

you can connect up to two 6-panel kits together.

while the panels plug together with their usb connectors, they also have some little plastic tabs that are 'not all that' that are supposed to help hold the panels together.

so, what i did was get some velcro dots and 'velcro' the panels to a backboard. this way they are semi-permanent and can be hung like a picture frame. not taped/glued to a wall which can damage the paint/plaster if they need to be removed.

per c^3:

The biggest issue with these is no memory. After the power cycle, they switch back to just white light. I have them connected to a smart plug to enable voice control, so this is a major issue.

Of course, it's much cheaper than other tiles, so can't complain.

I have these, my toddler loves to play with it.

The clips that hold them together are bleh. The no memory function is really shameful. But for $18.73 each it wasn't a bad buy

Dumb lights but it's 1/10 the price of smart lights like nanoleaf, so I'd reckon they're a good enough set for kids.

Got them a nanoleaf set before and they just used it as regular colored lights without ever using any of the smart features

well, this is your basic 'dumb' led light panels, but on the flip side nanoleaf is way over priced. so they are each in their own categories.

I wonder if you could control the lights with an ir or rf blaster? Decent price I'll give it a shot.

These really don't compare to nanoleaf. I bought 2 packs and will be returning them.
No memory function is really a dealbreaker. One must re-tune every time they shut off :-\
They are thick as well, not smart devices and not that great looking. The tapping function works only right in the middle. I mean they're $3 a piece I can't complain but can't justify the $37

yes, best you return them as no one said they were anything like nanoleaf. what was said is that these are 'dumb' led light panels. if you wer expecting nanoleaf specs you were pure out of luck. you better return them! laugh out loud

I have two sets of these and enjoy their larger size compared to white labeled options on amazon. These can be made "smart" with an esp/arduino and the FastLED library for those who like to tinker. I believe the SP110E controller will work with these as well but have not confirmed myself.
What adapter is needed to make SP110e work?

No I mean I knew that going into it. They're only $18, but the no memory function... wish they had put some capacitors inside and charged 50 cents more Lol
