I purchased last year's 65" Target Element TV for $300. The TV does a fine enough job, but I would say in the past year, the TV has crashed about 8 times. So yeah, it's not perfectly reliable. However, I'm a guy with simple needs, and I think the image quality is very good. The side-view holds up really well.

The one downside is that Roku TVs don't let you set a custom DNS, so there's no way to use DNS as an adblocking method. And since Raspberry Pis are impossible to acquire at a fair price, for now I must suffer.

I'd buy it again if it broke today.

Edit: I hate the remote though. I never thought a damned remote could be too sensetive. Somehow this one is.

A Fire TV stick or Chromecast TV stick can help with that. I use VPN to watch Netflix all the time.

Fun fact: I bought the woot! Olevia 65" 1080p behemoth (165 lbs, metal housing) for $2300 back in 2008 and I thought it was great until it died in 2015 or '16. So, I am sure this is just as much of a slick deal at a much better price point. :-P

Got this for my mother last year. Dark spots/blotches are forming about a month ago and are getting worse. She didn't see them till I pointed them out. Will have to pick something else up for her and see what the warranty will come up with but will not hold my breath.

Yes. I will say she racked up the hours on it. She probably put 2 year of wear on it in one year.

I bought the Wally World 65" TCL. Uses 1/2 the power. Probably better electronics and more efficient power module. Should run cooler and last longer.

If you have money to burn, then Samsung, LG, and Sony would be on top of my list. But TCL isn't that far behind in 4th place. Keep at least 6" of ventilation all around if possible.

I bought the 58" Element. I have my Onn Android TV box plugged into HTML1 port which I use for my Bluetooth headset. When I set up the Onn remote to connect to the Element, I had to use Westinghouse as the TV. Element's Chinese parent company also owns Westinghouse and Seiki TV.
