- Offer available on hbomax.com and through the following participating subscription providers: Roku, Google Play, Apple and Amazon. Offer valid in the U.S. only. Offer may be redeemed only once and cannot be combined with any other promotional or free trial offer for HBO Max.
- To sign up, you must be 18+ and need a valid method of payment. After your discounted subscription period, your subscription will auto-renew each month at the then-current subscription price for the With Ads monthly plan (currently, $9.99/mo. plus applicable tax), on a recurring basis, unless you cancel before the renewal. To cancel your subscription, see Subscription in the profile settings of your HBO Max account. If you switch plans during your promotional period, you may lose the benefit of your promotional offer. I've read in the past that Apple has had a lot of trouble with promotional type deals with their payments. So there's a chance that the next month will charge you $9.99 instead. Fortunately I was able to contact Apple, and while they were unable to resolve the actual promotional issue (they suggested I contact HBO directly), I had them cancel the subscription and refund the $1.99. It would save the hassle if I was charged $9.99 next month. I figured creating a new account and subscribing through HBOMax directly would be less of a hassle.
And the other thing to consider is that 4K content is only through the $15.99 Ad-Free plan.
