Big fan of previous fire emblems. Still play sacred stones and awakening. However the series has seemed to change a bit. Generally this game is rated as one of the best switch games but I couldn't get into it. There's a lot more filler outside of battles that make it feel more like a Persona game. Does the game get better as it goes on? I maybe put in 5 hours and haven't returned.

It gets easier to blow through/skip the school sections and back to the action once you get going. The story picks up as well. 2nd half is mostly action.

Thanks, I've been in the same boat as the prior poster , I'll give it another shot
