Seriously, are we still doing check-by-mail rebates? You might consider Costco's 3.5 and 5.5 dutch oven set for $60 to avoid this. And only one rebate for household here.
Yes, companies are still doing it because ther is a large % of people who buy product and fail to send in the rebate. COmpanies are about profit, not giving away$$
I'm with you. It better be one heck of a rebate if I'm going to do that. Normally, as soon as I see mail-in-rebate, I skip the item. This cast iron's pictures do look like it's nice Dutch Oven though.

If you have a Lidl, their oval case iron is 19.99. It's smaller at 4.2 qt, but I use it along with my Le Creuset. If I know family is going to use a metal utensil in it (even if I provide a silicone one), then I use the Lidl one to serve 😀

Just baked 2 rounds of "no knead Dutch oven bread" in the Costco 5.5 yesterday. Never made bread before and did both an overnight rise and then a 2 hour quick version. Haven't tasted them yet (the temptation was real) as they are for guests today but they look amazing.

I have a Staub cast iron skillet pan that I love from FB marketplace and if these somehow breakdown eventually I will upgrade. But really hard to argue with 2 Dutch ovens for ~$50. My store ran out promptly and they haven't came back. Looking forward to a winter of soups and fresh bread.

I am sure it was a rhetorical question. We all know why companies do this.

The quality of this won't be good. Better off buying a French made Straub. The french made will last a lifetime. This is disposable.

Rebate sucks, but no complaints about the Dutch oven. I bought a blue one for my wife a few years ago at this price and it's held up to constant use- she bakes bread a couple times a week and does soup/sauce at least once a week.

Aldi have them for same price w/I rebate a few week ago. They might still have some left. Bty if you bake bread get a cheap set the high temperature use for baking will color the ceramic coating if they are light color.

The mail in rebates are a way for them to get your personal info including your home address. They can sell your info or use it for marketing.

Are we able to purchase one of each size and do one rebate for a total rebate of $60 or 3 separate $20 ones? Their rebate system is a little confusing. I can put in the offer code and then select one of the three sizes. There is an option to "add another product" and you can select the other two sizes, but as far as I can tell there is noting that shows all three items being submitted for the rebate.
